(Contract No. 2023-1030) | Background: | The portion of right-of-way is located in Northeast El Paso off of US-54 and is located 1.5 miles southwest of the New Mexico/Texas State line. The property was originally dedicated for public use as a roadway when the area was surveyed as an unincorporated section of land. The City of El Paso ultimately annexed the property in a series of annexations, however, the land remained in the County's name and was not transferred over to the City--this action provides for the transfer of property to the City and will be utilized for public use.
