| Background: | Project Amistad received their last ward price increase in 2020 after they negotiated the price when they were the only respondents to an El Paso County RFP. They recently exercised their 90-day notice (Section IV (4)) in the current agreement to request an increase in pricing due to financial pressures related to the pandemic, inflation, and their difficulty in retaining staff. They reported that they intend to use the ward price increase to focus on increasing their staff salaries and for absorbing some of the impacts of inflation, and pandemic-related programmatic cost increases. The budget impact estimate of this pricing increase is approximately $200,000 per year. If this ward price increase is approved by the court, budget and fiscal policy will work to ensure that the funds are identified. |
