El Paso County District Attorney Office Victim Assistance, General Victim Assistance Direct Services Program has been funded by Office of the Governor Victims of Crime Act in previous years. Each year, this grantor has typically awarded a month or two late. This funding is continued funding  from the prior grant period.

This agenda item is asking for temporary coverage of expenses, until grant awards are effective and full reimbursements can be made. Please note, expenses will ONLY be reimbursed if the grant awards are provided and accepted. Should a grant not be awarded or accepted for any of the nine programs, the County must absorb the costs incurred (both personnel and contractual) from December 9, 2023 through January 20, 2024.

Temporary funding to be utilized, in the amount of $82,221.00 and will be replaced once awards are granted and accepted. Funding replacement is contingent upon receiving program renewal awards.
