This grant opportunity is to support projects that expand transportation services in unserved and underserved areas through efficient service design, quality, resources, and technology utilization. The focus includes increasing service in these areas, enhancing service quality, and improving connectivity to other transportation services. TxDOT emphasizes not only ridership but also outcomes such as increased access, customer satisfaction, reduced wait times, and anticipates sustainability based on meeting program and performance objectives with a combination of state and non-state funding sources.  EPCT plans to use funding toward proposed transit service improvements as outlined in previously completed transit studies.
