The industry standard for operating data center equipment utilizes current and manufacture-supported technology.
The data center infrastructure provides County employees with access to the majority of technology-based solutions. Functions including email, data file storage, and enterprise-level applications vital to providing a platform for information delivery and most County operations. Our County of El Paso Employees, partner agencies, and residents rely on this platform to be operational.
The County of El Paso’s Data Center equipment routinely requires the application of vendor-supplied security and operational updates. These patches dynamically ensure that the equipment and software operate effectively and are protected from known cyber threats.
ITD is requesting that the Court approve and authorize the County Judge to sign this service agreement for the continued maintenance and support of the equipment of both data centers between the County of El Paso and Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company. This agreement has been reviewed and approved by the County Attorney’s Office, and the Purchasing Department. ITD recommends approval.
