The County of El Paso currently provides Basic Life, Basic Dependent Life, and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) insurance coverage for employees through Dearborn Life Insurance Company. Based on awarded RFP #22-022, the County will begin providing Basic Life, Basic Dependent Life, and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance for County Employees through Standard Insurance Company.
The monthly rate per employee for this insurance is $.021 per $1,000 for Basic Life, $.43 for Basic Dependent Life, and $.010 per $1,000 for Accident Death and Dismemberment. The total cost to the County to provide this coverage is approximately $3,375 monthly.
The attached Group Application and Fee form is required by Standard Insurance Company in order to establish the group plan and begin the implementation process for both Basic and Supplemental Life Insurance.
