The County budget is being amended in accordance with Texas Local Government Code §111.0709.

 

Budget amendment is necessary:

·To transfer appropriations within the Sheriff’s Office to cover vested benefits to year end.

·To transfer appropriations within the Sheriff’s Office to cover overtime expenses to year end.

·To transfer appropriations from the General and Administrative Ops Contingency account to the Facilities Maintenance & Repair General account to cover the cost of funds needed for the water leak on the 4th floor at the courthouse.

·To transfer appropriations from within the Sheriff Courthouse Security department to cover security systems for the Courthouse 11th floor and MDR building.

·To set up the budget for the 2023 TJJD Prevention and Intervention grant as awarded by the Texas Juvenile Justice Department.

·To set up the budget for the Sheriff Crime Victim Services 2023 grant as approved by Commissioner Court agenda 8/29/22.

·To increase the Cops School Resource Officer’s grant for the additional match approved on CC 6/27/22.

·To set up the budget for the Sheriff's Training Academy 2023 grant as approved by Commissioners Court agenda 8/29/22 item 4X.

·To set up the budget for the Resilient Invested Succeeding Empower grant as approved by Commissioner’s Court agenda 8/29/22 item 4x.

·To set up partial budget for the District Attorney-Domestic Violence Outreach Initiative 2023 grant to cover the first two months of the grant until grant is awarded by the granting agency Criminal Justice Division, as approved by Commissioner’s Court on 8/29/22, item 4X.

·To set up partial budget for the 384th Adult Drug Court Program 2023 grant to cover the first two months of the grant until grant is awarded by the granting agency Criminal Justice Division, as approved by commissioner’s court on 8/29/22, item 4X.

·To set up partial budget for The Juvenile Drug Court Program 2023 grant to cover the first two months of the grant until grant is awarded by the granting agency Criminal Justice Division, as approved by Commissioner’s Court on 8/29/22, item 4X.

·To set up partial budget for the Protective Order Court 2023 grant to cover the first two months of the grant until grant is awarded by the granting agency Criminal Justice Division, as approved by Commissioner’s Court On 8/29/22, item 4X.

·To set up the budget for the 2022 West Texas HIDTA Intelligence Initiative as awarded and approved by the granting agency.

·To transfer appropriations from the County's Hot Fund to cover the cost of retroactive expenses for the San Elizario genealogy historic society.

·To transfer appropriations within the Sheriff’s Office to cover overtime expenses to year end.
