The County of El Paso operates under a Strategic Employee Health and Wellness program implemented through the County’s Risk Pool Board and administered through the Human Resources Department. The Human Resources Department, based on several wellness programs developed and implemented within the County, participated in the Aetna Workplace Well-being Award program.
The program requires the completion of an Aetna Workplace Well-being award application and was submitted by the Human Resources Department on June 2, 2022. There are four award levels that recognize plan sponsors who show an ongoing commitment to a healthier workplace: Leading the Way (Platinum), Making a Difference (Gold), Above and Beyond (Silver), and Inspiring Change (Bronze).
The Human Resources Department was recently notified from Aetna Insurance Company that El Paso County has been selected to receive the Aetna Wellbeing Program’s Platinum Award (Highest award) amongst 100 applicants in the Southwest Region.
Staff prepared a presentation for the Commissioners Court highlighting the County’s Wellness Program prior to the receipt of the Award from representatives of the Aetna Insurance Company.
