| Background: | Project Amistad is a nonprofit agency that serves the elderly, people with disabilities, and people-at-risk in our community. They have provided Non-Emergency Medical Transport (NEMT) for members of the community and continued doing so during the height of the pandemic.
The Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (CSLFRF) program provides funds that can be used to help entities recover from the COVID-19 public health emergency.
Because Project Amistad had a negative economic impact between FY20 and FY22, the County of El Paso will award $158,500 to Project Amistad as a beneficiary of CSLFRF funds (ARP-4050). |
