Item Title:Budget & Fiscal Policy / Grants Admin - Grant Salary Match Funding

Subject:Approve and authorize the transfer of general fund grant match contingency funding, in the amount of $115,987, to select County grant program accounts to pay for FY2022 8% salary increases (and applicable increased benefits) for eligible grant-funded employees. Funding is available in GF-GADM-XFER OUT-GRANT MATCH.
Background:

Effective in January 2022, eligible El Paso County personnel, to include eligible grant-funded personnel, received an 8% increase in salaries. While most existing grant programs could pay for the salary and related personnel expenses, some were in need of additional County funding to cover increased salaries and related benefits. 

 

Therefore, general fund grant contingency funding is needed to assist with increased salary and related benefits expenses for select programs. The attachment provides a detailed list of programs and amounts needed.

Fiscal Impact:

General fund grant contingency funding in the total amount of $115,987, to be utilized for personnel expenses if approved by Commissioners Court
