| Subject: | Approve and authorize the continuation of the current optional $10 County Road and Bridge Fee as well as the $10 Transportation Project Fee on County Vehicle Registrations for Calendar Year 2022. |
| Background: | The County Judge is annually required to remit the attached form to the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles. This form merely acknowledges if the County is changing any of its existing fees or adding any fees. The budget the court has received and discussed in our meeting on August 10th – 12th was balanced by maintaining the $10 County Road and Bridge Fee as well as the $10 Transportation Project Fee. The Road and bridge fee is accounted for as statutorily required in that fund for the continued maintenance of County Roads. The Transportation Project Fee is also segregated into its own fund and through interlocal agreement is remitted to the Camino Real Regional Mobility Authority for long term County transportation projects in accordance with statute. |
