| Background: | El Paso Water is the sole source for the County of El Paso to specify and replace meters in the water distribution system as it is all part of the El Paso Water System. The replacement of the meters will allow the County's EMWS to accurately measure the amount of water flowing through the meters thus eliminating water loss within our system.
Pursuant to Texas Local Government Code Section 262.024 (a)(7)(A), as a sole source item, it is exempt from the provisions of the County Purchasing Act. Sole Source will be re-evaluated at time of new contract to ensure compliance with statute. |
