Funding is available in CIP21-ITD-CAP OUT-IT EQUIPMENT. | | Background: | The County was seeking a qualified vendor to purchase firewall network hardware of EOL equipment to remain compliant with CJIS for the Information Technology Department. This technology facilitates the ease to control undesirable Internet links, Malicious URLs, Malware, and incoming online viruses. Today, existing firewall appliances supporting the County are end of life. End of Life Technology is a product which no longer receives maintenance support from its manufacturers for faulty system replacements, software update, bug fixes, and security patches. Refreshing the indicated equipment with the recommended replacement will ensure compliance with Criminal Justice Information Service (CJIS) Security standards and protect the County's online presence through pertinent security technology.
Region 19 Contract #16-7210 term expiration date: November 30, 2021
To ensure the County is obtaining the overall best value, to include pricing and terms, the Purchasing and Information Technology Department reviewed available cooperative contracts and determined that the contract held by PIVOT Technology Services Corp. dba Computacenter through Region 19 Contract #16-7210 conforms to the County’s needs.
