| Background: | The Information Technology Department (ITD) is committed to providing scalable, high capacity, and efficient enterprise wireless network solutions. Wireless networks operate on radio frequency signals and allow wireless-enabled devices to communicate with County online resources and the Internet.
Since ITD is responsible for the County’s network, ITD requested a quote from Computacenter to purchase firewall network equipment to replace the County's end of life equipment.
ITD is requesting that the Court approve and authorize the County Judge to sign the agreement. This agreement has been reviewed and approved by ITD, the County Attorney's Office, and the Purchasing Department. ITD recommends approval.
