Public funding sources require recipients to certify and assure that the recipient will comply with a broad range of laws and regulations during the disbursement of public dollars.

The FTA requires TxDOT to request Certifications and Assurances from the County.  Pages 19-20 of the document identifies by group the specific certifications and assurances of compliance that the County is required to support.  By signing these Certifications and Assurances the County is eligible to receive funds controlled by the FTA.  The FTA funds are for the County's Rural Transit Program and for the intercity transportation program between El Paso and Las Cruces.
