The County budget is being amended in accordance with Texas Local Government Code §111.0415.

Budget amendment is necessary:

·To set up the budget for the Emergency Food and Shelter 2020 grant as awarded by the United Way during Commissioner’s Court on 9/14/2020.

·To set up the budget for the Emergency Food and Shelter Cares 2020 grant as awarded by the United Way during Commissioner’s Court on 9/14/2020.

·To transfer appropriations within the General and Administrative account to cover the cost for County Retiree contribution up to year end.

·To transfer appropriations within the El Paso County Mobility Project department to cover the cost for construction expenses up to year end.

This budgetary amendment will increase Grants by $153,008.86, thus increasing the overall budget of $527,636,813.85 to $527,789,822.71.

The recommendation is for Commissioners Court to approve amendment No. 49 to the County of El Paso’s 2019-2020 operating budget.
