The Information Technology Department (ITD) is committed to providing scalable, high capacity, and secure network access for the County of El Paso. As the County builds its’ information security program it is essential that these new capabilities be continuously assessed. This solution augments, identifies and measures cybersecurity controls, services and processes the County already has/is implementing to protect citizen and county information and information systems. The solution provides a range of on-demand metrics and reporting ranging from assessments for executives to detailed technical data with recommendations for risk mitigation. Through this partnership, Bitsight Technologies will greatly help in reducing the County’s overall risk.

ITD, therefore, is requesting that the Court approve and authorize County Judge to sign the service agreement for the cybersecurity partnership between the County of El Paso and Optiv for Bitsight Technologies’ Risk Scoring service. This purchase will provide the County with a capability to more effectively and efficiently measure the efficacy of the security controls the County employs. The agreement has been reviewed and approved by ITD, the County Attorney’s Office, and the Purchasing Department. ITD recommends approval. 

Pricing provided through Texas DIR Contract No. DIR-TSO-4133 which does not expire until July 16, 2022.
