DotImage Document Imaging software is provided by Atalasoft, Inc. and is licensed to the County of El Paso. This software is licensed to the County of El Paso and used primarily by the Information Technology Department (ITD) to manipulate, redact and display digital images. The software is comprised server services software as well as a set of development tools that are embedded in applications written by ITD development staff in order to provide digital document functionality such as scan, import, print and display services of documents like death certificates, case records and other official County documents. Currently, ITD is looking to expand the server's software capacity due to the increased use of this software as distributed by services via web browsers. To do this, one additional server and redaction license is required.

In order to maintain operations, ITD requests the approval of the maintenance services and the addition of a server and redaction license that will allow for the continued support and benefits provided by software. The omission of this maintenance service will eliminate the license rights, vendor support and future applications upgrades/enhancements required to utilize the many County departmental systems that are supplemented with this digital imaging functionality.

County Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved this agreement on October 31, 2019.

Purchasing Department has reviewed and approved the purchase of this item on September 27, 2019. Contingent upon Commissioners Court approval, Purchasing will convert Requisition No. 12001229 to a Purchase Order.
