| Subject: | Approve and authorize the County Judge to sign the Interlocal Agreement Project Development Agreement for the John Hayes Street Extension Project (CSJ# 0924-06-564) for engineering design services with the Camino Real Regional Authority (CRRMA). (Contract No. 2019-0776) |
| Background: | The engineering design phase of the John Hayes Street was identified by El Paso County to provide future mobility to this growing area of town. This project is part of El Paso Metropolitan Organization’s (EPMPO) planning documents for the Destino 2045 Metropolitan Transportation Plan.
The design phase of the project is scheduled to let in November 2019. As such, the actual draw down or reimbursement of federal funding will not occur until FY20. The funding for the agreement has been partially identified in FY19 (the local match and the necessary administrative costs) and the local contribution (which exceeds the 20 percent match required, as approved by the Commissioners Court in April 2018).
