The County of El Paso through its Public Works Department applied and received grant funding approval in the amount $500,000 from Border Environmental Corporation Commission (BECC).  This grant will be used to fund some of the costs associated with the replacement of the old and dilapidate Vista Del Este Subdivision water distribution system which is operated by the County’s East Montana Water System. The project consists of installing  8” PVC pipe,  6” PVC pipe, - 6” & 8”  gate valves, 31- fire hydrants, 335 – ¾ residential service connections, HMAC replacements, Traffic Control and all necessary appurtenances. This project will benefit a total of 335 homes/ 136000 people. The Public Works Department Engineers designed worked on the specifications of this project. 

This project had been bided out, awarded to include a contract but the Vendor could not satisfy the needs and withdrew from the project

 $1,937,000.00
