Item Title:Planning & Development Department- Mission Ridge BLVD Phase 2

Subject:

Approve and authorize the County Judge to sign the Project Development Agreement with the Camino Real Regional Mobility Authority authorizing the construction of Mission Ridge Boulevard Phase II Roadway Improvements. Further, approve and authorize the County Judge to sign the necessary resolution and supporting documents. (Contract No. 2019-0691)

Background:

The second phase of Mission Ridge Boulevard Phase 2, which is currently within undeveloped land, consist of flex base, HMAC, concrete curb and gutter, embankment, excavation, drainage structures, retention pond with rock walls, retaining walls, irrigation system and landscaping, shared-use paths/sidewalks, ADA ramps and roadway illumination. The project extends from 1 mile south of Pellicano Drive to a quarter mile north of Paseo Del Este Boulevard.

Fiscal Impact:

VRF Funds - $4,805,726.12,

El Paso Water Utilities - $1,757,766.32-

Total Cost- $6,563,492.44

 

CRRMA VRF Series 2014 and 2017 Bonds

No fiscal impact to the County.

Recommendation:Approve and authorize the County Judge to sign the Project Development Agreement with the Camino Real Regional Mobility Authority authorizing the construction of Mission Ridge Boulevard Phase II Roadway Improvements. Further, approve and authorize the County Judge to sign the necessary resolution and supporting documents. (Contract No. 2019-0691)
Prior Action:

On May 1, 2017 (Item 9), the court authorized the County Attorney’s office to develop a project development agreement with the Camino Real RMA for the construction and project management/oversight for Mission Ridge Blvd. Phase II in the amount of $3,000,000 and the County Attorney’s office to develop a project development agreement with the Camino Real RMA for the construction and project management/oversight for Pellicano in the amount of $3,000,000.

 

On December 15, 2014 (Item 15)  the Court authorized the County Attorney’s Office to prepare project development agreements with the Camino Real Regional Mobility Authority for the projects that will be funded through VRF and excess VRF funds.
