(Contract No. 2019-0698) | | Background: | The County of El Paso is a Self-lnsured Governmental Entity which provides Workers' Compensation claims services through a Third Party Administrator. On September 11, 2014, the Commissioners Court awarded RFP #14-038 to Claims Administrative Services, Inc. for the County’s workers compensation third party administration.
On March 30, 2015 the Court approved a contract agreement (2014-0505) which outlined the services to be performed by Claims Administrative Services (CAS). The original agreement was for a term of three years with options to renew through September 30, 2019. The Agreement automatically continues on a month-to-month basis not to exceed twelve months or until an RFP is awarded and a new contract is developed. CAS and the County have determined that modifications to the original agreement are necessary for continued services. Therefore, the First Amendment to the Services Agreement was created and modifies pricing for certain workers compensation related services.
