During budget hearings for FY20, Commissioners Court discussed the idea of waiving the downtown parking fees for those employees making $13.50/hour or less.
Effective FY20, and upon the approved wage adjustments, there are a total of 44 County employees who may be eligible. Of those, 12 currently paying for parking within our downtown garage, while the remaining 32 are not currently paying for this service.
If approved, those employees already parking in our downtown garage would have their fee waived, and HR staff will reach out to the remaining eligible employees to determine if they are interested in parking in our downtown garages.
