(Contract No. 2019-0648) | | Background: | The County of El Paso received a grant in the amount of $5,193,000.00 and a loan in the amount of $1,334,000.00 to construct first-time wastewater collection system within the Desert Acceptance (Square Dance) area.
On April 9th 2017, the County received sealed bids to enter into a contractual agreement with Danny Sander Construction to conduct the required work to construct the sewer system within the Square Dance area.
During the construction, the contractor encountered some unforeseen challenges that required changes to the existing design, materials and quantities of the material.
These ten (10) changes are listed on the enclosed change order request. Some of the changes are quantity adjustments that resulted in contract credit and others were additional items that the contractor encountered which required additional materials and time.
Substantial completion is scheduled to take place on September 18, 2019.
The staff along with the Engineering firm analyzed the proposed change order and concurred with it.
