| Subject: | Pursuant to Texas Local Government Code Section 81.032, authorize the Juvenile Probation Department (JPD) to accept monetary and in-kind donations during Fiscal Year 2020 to fund special events that benefit youth, families and personnel from the JPD. |
| Background: | Monetary and in-kind donation are being sought to support departmental initiatives that benefit youth, families and allow for special employee recognition activities. Examples of such events are the Juvenile Justice Association of Texas 2020 Conference which will be hosted in El Paso by JPD, program graduations, holiday meal baskets for needy families, program incentives, stakeholder recognition events, staff team building activities, Global Youth Service Day, annual employee recognition banquet and other events that may be planned throughout the year. |
