Approve and authorize the funding in the amount of $6,938 for a Compliance Officer position for the El Paso Veteran’s Treatment Court Program for the month of September 2019.  Funding is available in GF-GADM-CONTINGENY-PERSONNEL.  

The CJD Governor's Office EL PASO VETERANS TREATMENT CRT 2019 grant was declined on August 20, 2019 and will not be funding the Compliance Officer position for the El Paso Veterans Treatment Court Program for the month of September 2019. For the past several years this grant had been reduced and for that reason, the 346th District Court has, during budget season, requested the funding for the much needed staff in the event the grants did not fund the personnel.

This year the Court went through the HR vetting process to get the Compliance Officer position included in the budget for FY20. However, it was not taken into account that the current grant ends August 31, 2019 and the El Paso County fiscal year starts on October 1, 2019.

It is the Court’s request that this salary and fringe expense be funded through the general fund beginning the month of September 2019. Estimated funds needed $6,938.
