Item Title:Tax Office - Interlocal Agreement for Provision of Equipment and Consumables

Subject:Approve and authorize the County Judge to sign the Interlocal Agreement and Resolution for Provision of Equipment and Consumables with the State of Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (TxDMV)  for equipment necessary for the processing of motor vehicle titles and registrations for a six year term beginning upon the date of signature by the state.  (Contract No. 2019-0482)
Background:

This is the first effort by TxDMV to begin their enforcement of SB604, Article 3, Section 520.0075 to begin on September 1, 2019.

 

The State provides the county with certain consumable materials that are integral to the administration of motor vehicle titles and registrations, including disabled placards, cardboard tags, forms, license plates, registration sticker paper, toner cartridges, registration receipt paper, department ad campaign supplies, and other materials.  Support to the County will continue so long as the terms and conditions in the attachments are met.
