| Background: | The Robert J. Galvan County Law Library is a statutory law library funded by civil court filing fees pursuant to Local Govt. Code 323.023. This special revenue fund serves the information and research needs of those in the legal profession. In addition, the library also serves the legal information needs of the public that desire to represent themselves in legal proceedings. The Law Library maintains a collection of legal resources in both print and digital formats. Maintaining the collection is the single largest expenditure in the Law Library budget. A statutorily authorized special committee of the El Paso Bar Association ensures that the titles maintained in the collection meet the needs of the community, particularly the legal community. This agreement includes yearly subscriptions that renew in September. In this 3 year agreement year over year price increases are capped at 3% per year. |
