| Background: | The Information Technology Department (ITD) manages and maintains the software licenses for products used by the County of El Paso. ITD is seeking approval of the Adobe software license agreement with SoftwareOne. SoftwareOne will provide software licenses for Adobe Acrobat Pro, Photoshop, Adobe Stock, and Creative Cloud to the County of El Paso. These products are utilized by various County Departments to create and modify digital documents and photos for the purpose of official and mass distribution. Currently the County has 125 Acrobat Pro, 4 Photoshop, 2 Adobe Stock, and 4 Creative Cloud product licenses that help compliment and facilitate the document and imaging requirements of their respective departments. This software license agreement will begin on August 25, 2019 and it allows for the continued usage, maintenance, and future updates for the Adobe software products licensed to the County of El Paso.
Requisition 11910833 has been vetted and approved by the County’s Purchasing Department, and upon Commissioners Court approval it will be converted to a purchase order.
Legal review was required and has been completed by County Attorney’s Office on August 22, 2019.
