As part of the County Comprehensive Mobility Plan, the widening and reconstruction of Vista del Sol Drive provides residents in the area access to a modern roadway with amenities including expansion from 2 lanes to 4-lanes divided roadway to include asphalt pavement, raised median, curbs, sidewalks, ADA ramps, illumination, signing and striping. The proposed improvements include upgrading a formerly private roadway into a full minor arterial to be maintained by the County.       

The amendment is required to provide for additional construction services required by the project contractor related to the relocation and installation of utilities along with roadway.

Additional Construction Services: $300,000

Funds are Vehicle Registration Fee proceeds managed by the Camino Real Regional Mobility Authority.

On March 20, 2017 (Item 14) – The Court authorized the County Judge to sign the Third Amendment to the Interlocal Agreement. The amendment adds the construction budget to the contract.       

On December 12, 2016 (Item 8) – The Court authorized the County Judge to sign the Second Amendment to the Interlocal Agreement. The amendment adds the construction budget to the contract.         

On October 17, 2016 (Item 14) - The Court authorized the County Judge to sign the First Amendment to the Interlocal Agreement – VRF Project Development Agreement for the Vista del Sol Roadway Improvement Project (for design) between the County of El Paso and the Camino Real Regional Mobility Authority. (Contract No. 2016-0281)

On April 13, 2015 (Item R-Consent) - The Court authorized the County Judge to execute a Resolution authorizing an Interlocal Agreement for construction and the interlocal agreement- VRF Project Development Agreement for Vista del Sol Roadway Improvement Project. (2015-0123)  

On December 15, 2014 (Item 15)- The court authorized the County Attorney’s office to prepare project development agreements with Camino Real Regional Mobility Authority for the projects.
