| Subject: | Approve and authorize the County Judge to sign the renewal of the District Attorney's Information Management System (DIMS) Interlocal Governmental Agreement with the City of El Paso for FY2020 which includes no budget increase over the FY2018 or FY2019 budget. (Contract No. 2019-0406) |
| Background: | DIMS has existed since 1994. It is a 24-hour 7 days per week process which allows prosecutors to screen criminal cases presented by law enforcement officers to determine whether prosecution will be pursued within hours of the commission of the offense and within hours of the person's arrest instead of weeks or month's after a person's arrest. It is an innovative program which utilizes technology and prosecutor resources to efficiently and quickly address prosecutorial decisions on cases presented to DIMS within hours of a person's arrest.
