Item Title:	Public Works - TX Dept. of Public Safety-Emergency Management as part of the Pre-Disaster Mitigation Grant Program process

Subject:	Approve and authorize the County Judge to sign all documents in relation to Texas Department of Public Safety - Emergency Management as part of the Pre-Disaster Mitigation (PDM) Grant Program process.
Background:	As part of the ongoing efforts to improve drainage issues/concerns within the County regions, the Public Works Department has been working with the Council of Governments to try to fund some of the prioritized project lists. The COG advised the County of the potential for a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the FY2018 Pre-disaster Mitigation. There is availability of funding for the NOFO of $235,200,000 for agencies and as authorized by the Court, the Public Works Department submitted the grant application for these funds. We are now requesting the Courts authorization for the County Judge to sign all documents required as part of the application process to include: Commitment Letter for Storm Mitigation Project SF424D – Assurances – Construction Programs SF424 - Application for Federal Assistance SF424A - Budget Information
Fiscal Impact:	Construction Cost – none at this time Possible obligation of $2,400,000 (25% match) if selected.
Recommendation:	Approve and authorize the County Judge to sign all documents in relation to Texas Department of Public Safety - Emergency Management as part of the Pre-Disaster Mitigation (PDM) Grant Program process.
Prior Action:	12/3/2018 – Item No. 15 - Court Authorized Public Works Department to submit a Pre-Disaster Mitigation (PDM) Grant Program application.
