| Subject: | Approve and authorize the Purchasing Agent to solicit proposals for Prisoner Extradition and Transportation Services for the El Paso County Sheriff’s Department, in accordance with Local Government Code 262.030. The Purchasing Agent has reviewed use of the Request for Proposal (RFP) process. |
| Background: | The County is seeking a qualified company to provide transportation for prisoners. This includes prisoners to be extradited from other locations and facilities within the United States to the Sheriff’s Office in County of El Paso and inmates to and from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and the Jail Facilities.
The Purchasing Department will request specifications be reviewed by the Auditor’s and County Attorney’s offices and receive approval to proceed.

On 5/14/2018 Commissioners Court approved to reject all responses and end the solicitation process.
