| Background: | The County of El Paso will agree to participate fully in all aspects of the programs and procedures utilized by the US Dept of Homeland Security (DHS) and to notify DHS of all information requested by DHS related to undocumented persons in custody of the grantee and to detain such undocumented persons in accordance with requests by DHS. For the previous funding cycle, only the Sheriff was asked to sign and this funding cycle, the County Executive is also requested to sign. |
| Fiscal Impact: | The County acknowledges that failure to comply with this certification may result in the Office of the Governor, in its sole discretion, terminating any grant made by the Office of the Governor to the County, and that the County must return all funds received from the Office of the Governor for any grant terminated under this certification. |
