(Contract No. 2018-0833) | | Background: | On December 10, 2018, the El Paso County Commissioners Court approved an agreement (Contract No. 2018-0833) between the County of El Paso and SHI Government Solutions, Inc. This agreement provides for the continued use of Microsoft desktop, office suite, and infrastructure needs. As Microsoft does not contract directly with its enterprise clients, we are required to purchase licensing through a Microsoft partner (SHI Government Solutions).
After approval, the vendor (Microsoft, via SHI Government Soltuions, Inc.) submitted a technical change to their proposal (Form 3). This change was a typo and corrected the proposal number from 0790187.004 to 0790187.005. No other changes were identified in the document. This change does not alter the service levels nor does it create any additional fiscal impact.
Legal review was required and the County Attorney's Office approved the changes to the proposal on December 21, 2018.
The Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) Price Schedule was used for volume discount prices and is available for use by State and Local governments.
Purchase Order 21902794 was approved and converted by Purchasing on December 17, 2018.
