| Background: | As part of the Local Government Assistance Program established under the Transportation Code, TXDOT is required to assist counties with surplus materials to repair and maintain county roads, giving preference to counties with an above average number of overweight trucks receiving weight tolerance permits based on the previous year’s permit totals. TXDOT has provided an allotment of $28,369 for the County of El Paso for the 2019 fiscal year. |
