| Background: | On December 3, 2018, Commissioners Court approved an Amendment to the Interlocal Agreement (ILA) that was originally entered into on January 12, 2009. The amendment to the ILA is for El Paso Water–Public Service Board to utilize their consultant, AECOM Technical Services, Inc., to perform an interior drainage study. The study will be submitted to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to support the certification of improvements being made to the Rio Grande levees by the International Boundary Water Commission (IWBC).
El Paso Water has requested that the County, in addition to amending the existing interlocal agreement, also be a signatory to the contract with AECOM to perform the study, in addition to providing a letter of commitment to fund the study in the amount of $137,279 (the amount previously authorized in the December 3, 2018 interlocal agreement). |
