The Information Technology Department (ITD) administers the hardware & software infrastructure that provides County employees (and the Public) with access to the majority of technology-based solutions. In support of this effort, third party vendors are routinely asked to remotely (i.e. remote access) install, patch, upgrade, configure, and repair their software/hardware. Allowing for this access requires that ITD manage and secure these third-party communications.                           

SHI Government Solutions, Inc., has been identified as a qualified reseller to purchase the Securelink software. Securelink will allow ITD to monitor all third party, non-county remote access on an enterprise platform, ensure vendor compliance, accountability, and security. Included are auditing tools that enable the tracking of all activity comprising of files transferred, commands entered, services accessed, and detailed log files.            

Legal review was required and has been completed by the County Attorney’s Office on December 10, 2018.            

Purchase Order 21812644-02 has been approved and converted by Purchasing on September 9, 2018.
