| Background: | The Healthy Food Financing Initiative Policy is derived from FY18 budget discussions to allocate funds that will assist business to provide healthier food options throughout the county. This program will target communities with low to medium income. The policy and its goals were discussed in detail during the past two special Commissioners Court Meetings: October 25, 2018, and September 27, 2018. |
| Fiscal Impact: | Commissioners Court has allocated a total of $3 million into the Economic Impact Fund and the Healthy Food Financing Initiative (HFFI). $500,000 will be allocated specifically to HFFI. |
