| Background: | This certification is completed annually and reports federal sharing funds received and how those funds were spent. Approval of this agreement is necessary in order to receive forfeited funds which are distributed by the Department of Justice once the Sheriff's Office is found in compliance. This is a recurring agreement that the Sheriff's Office requires on an annual basis and has been approved previously by Commissioner's Court. |
| Fiscal Impact: | As of 9/30/17 there was an ending balance of $962,967.28. During the fiscal year $28,803.57 equitable sharing funds were received and $2,487.14 was interest earned on these funds making the ending balance $994,257.99. |
