| Background: | In 2016, the El Paso County Veterans Assistance recognized there were no organizations in the County providing short-term, emergency rental and utilities assistance to veterans. Our office submitted an application for a $100,000 grant for FY2017-18 that was approved then for $200,000 in FY2018-19, that was also approved. In total, over 500 Veterans and dependents have been assisted with these grants the past two years. |
