(Contract No. 2018-0755) | | Background: | The 34th Judicial District Attorney’s Office is required by law to provide services to victims of crime in all criminal matters within its jurisdiction. This mandate extends to approximately 16,981 victims of crime each year. The 34th Judicial District Attorney’s Office is able to comply with its mandate and sustain its victim assistance program because of resources provided through VOCA funding by the Governor’s Office and matching funds through the County of El Paso. | | Fiscal Impact: | The requested funds from the Governor's Office for FY19 and FY20 (2-year grant) are in the amount of $624,532, with a County Match of $163,073 (and $400 grantee in-kind match) for a total project in the amount of $788,055 for the period beginning 10/01/2018 through 09/30/2020.
