On April 7, 2014 the Court approved Consent Agenda Item “T” between thyssenkrupp Elevator Corporation, Contract No. 2013-0732 for a term of five years.  This Master Agreement merged the separate elevator maintenance and service repair agreements for the County Courthouse, Archives/MDR Building, Downtown Detention Facility, Jail Annex, Sheriff Headquarters, and Juvenile Probation into one for more efficient contract administration.                     

On July 18, 2016 the Court approved Consent Agenda item #14 the First Amendment to the Master Agreement to include the elevators at the El Paso County Campbell parking garage and Overland parking garage. On December 5, 2016 the Court approved the Second amendment to add the elevator at the Ascarate Annex and the elevator at the Sportspark. On November 27, 2017 the Court approved the third amendment to add the elevator at the Medical Examiner’s office.                    

This fourth amendment is to add the four (4) wheelchairs lifts located at the new Jail Annex.  Maintenance and inspection of the chair lifts is required by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) and Texas Commission on Jail Standards (TCJS).
