| Background: | The County Clerk’s Office is requesting the approval of a State bid and award to Kofile for the continuation of the encapsulation of historical records to address the long-term survival, access, and storage of these permanent retention records. This encapsulation project initiated in 2011 and began with the Vital Records. Phase I of the 1889 Deed Records initiated in FY 2015. Phase II of the 1889 Deed Records encapsulation was completed in FY 2016. Phase III was completed during FY 2017. Phase IV was completed during the FY 2018. The Encapsulation Project was described in the County Clerk’s Records Management Proposal Plan adopted by Commissioners Court on July 16, 2018. Phase V will be completed in FY19. |
