The El Paso County Community Supervision and Corrections Department has requested for the County of El Paso to provide CSCD employees the ability to participate in certain County benefits described in the attached interlocal agreement including: Employee Monthly Parking, Gym Services, Long Term Disability, Short Term Disability, and IRS Section 457 Deferred Compensation. 

The County currently offers these benefits to County employees and with the exception of monthly parking, the County obtains the premiums through payroll deduction from employees who voluntarily participate in these benefits and the County pays the vendors the negotiated rate.  For parking, the County charges County Employees, and those individual who receive a stipend, an employee rate of $30.00 per month. For non-employees, the rate is $80.00 per month for use of the downtown garages or MDR Parking lot.

Staff will be presenting to the Commissioners Court with an option to absorb the difference between employee rate and non-employee rate for CSCD employees, and with another option for CSCD to pay the County the difference between the employee rate and non-employee rate for parking.          

Nov. 15, 2010, Item #17; Commissioners Court approved courtesy parking for Congressional Medal of Honor recipients, Purple Heart recipients, Disabled Veterans, and former Prisoners of War with appropriate designated license plates.

April 7, 2013,  Item #9; Commissioners Court approved Interlocal Agreement with Adult Probation for Human Resources Services (2013-0342)

June 11, 2018, Item #12; Commissioners Court approved employee and non employee parking rates, eligibility, and reimbursements for parking access card deposits.
