| Background: | Votec Corporation provides the maintenance support and licensing for the VoteSafe software utilized by the County Elections Department to process voters in the polling place. This software technology enabled poll books provide the ability to serve as a remote election management tool. The software enables the department to retrieve voter records to confirm voter status, precinct designation, and ballot style, and voting history.
The Information Technology Department (ITD) is solely responsible for the administration of VEMACS licensing agreement. ITD does not provide support for the data or software for the Elections Department. This agreement is for a 12 month term and provides periodic updates and all technical support needed to keep this software operational. Current licensing must be maintained to allow continued use of these applications.
Legal review was required and was completed by the County Attorney’s Office on September 27, 2018.
Contingent upon funding allocation in MUNIS, this item will be requisitioned on October 1st. Once approved, Purchase Order will be sent to Vendor finalizing this agreement.
