| Background: | Section 118.131 of the Texas Local Government Code requires Commissioners Court to set reasonable fees for the services of the Sheriff's Office and Constables Office every year no later than October 1 to be effective January 1 of next year. If Commissioners Court does not set fees in compliance with section 118.131, the fees revert back to the amount in effect on August 31, 1981 |
| Fiscal Impact: | The special events fees have been increased to keep pace with the increase in salaries. |
| Recommendation: | Pursuant to section 118.131 of the Texas Local Government Code, approve and authorize the County Judge to sign an order setting reasonable fees for Sheriff and Constable services to be effective on January 1, 2019. (OP-18-0041) |
