| Background: | The purpose of this Agreement is to allow the JPD and the Municipal Courts to fully implement the Texas Juvenile Justice Department Prevention and Intervention Grant by establishing specific terms and conditions where by the Municipal Courts shall strengthen their Case Management intervention program through a Juvenile Case Manager position, thereby retaining jurisdiction of repeat offenders with one or more prior Class C referrals or convictions and providing effective alternatives, referral to treatment and effective case management of juvenile cases to reduce recidivism and lessen the impact on the juvenile courts. |
