(Contract No. 2018-0552) | | Background: | During the budget meetings held on August 9, 2018, the County of El Paso’s Insurance Broker USI Southwest, Inc. provided the Commissioners Court with the Proposed Liability Insurance Rates for Auto Liability with Texas Political Subdivisions, Property and Crime Coverage with Travelers Insurance, Special Events General Liability with Scottsdale Insurance Company, and Cyber Liability with AIG.
Approval of this proposal will result in the creation of formal insurance policies which will be brought back to the Commissioners Court for final approval. The renewal premiums described in the proposal are as follows:
- Property blanket coverage for FY 2019 is $181,022 which represents a $13,551 increase from the FY 2018 premium.
- Auto liability coverage for FY 2019 is $91,146 which represents a $2,068 increase from FY 2018 premiums.
- Crime coverage for FY 2019 $6,603 which represents a $786 increase from the FY 2018 premium.
- Special Events General Liability coverage for FY 2019 is $3,329 which represents no increase from the FY 2018 premium.
- Cyber Liability coverage for FY 2019 is $42,923. This a new coverage that will be added.
