| Background: | The Robert J. Galvan Law Library is a statutory law library funded by civil court filing fees. It serves the information and research needs of those in the legal profession. In addition, it also serves the needs of the general public that desire to represent themselves in legal proceedings. The library maintains its collection in both print and electronic formats. Maintaining the collection is the single largest expenditure in the Law Library budget. A special committee of the Bar Association ensures that the titles maintained in the collection meet the needs of the community, especially the legal community
This subscription is for online legal content and material. This subscription differs from our other Lexis online subscription in that this new agreement provides two simultaneous users no password access to the specified content on the library desktops. Users will not require librarian assistance or oversight to utilize.
This agreement will increase the digital access in the Library. The Library Manager in concurrence with the Bar Association Law Library Committee continues to migrate content / access to web-based subscriptions. The increased digital cost is off-set by print reduction.
The agreement is for three years paying in monthly installments of $1,157.
